    Claves are basic percussive instruments that can be found through out the world. They are two pieces of wood struck together to created sound. Traditionally they are made of wood, typically rosewood, ebony or grenadilla. In modern times they are also made of fibreglass or plastics. When struck they produce a bright clicking noise. Claves are sometimes hollow and carved in the middle to amplify the sound.

    Children can play the IQ Plus Clave Shaker by beating them together in the middle to create the bright distinguish beating sound.

    Alternatively children can also use Clave Shaker as double shaker in both hands by shaking them like normal shakers.
